A simply way to get homemade pizza dough without the hassle ☺. Start off with the following ingredients.
• 2 Cups of All Purpose Flour (plus ½ a cup more if needed)
• 1 Envelope of Rapid Rise Yeast
• 1 Teaspoon of Kosher Salt
• 1 Cup of Very Warm Water
• 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
• 3 Tablespoons of Cornmeal (or enough to cover the bottom of the pan)
I turned on the oven to 400 degrees, and i greased two pizza pans (12 inches each) and sprinkled them with cornmeal.
I tossed the flour, yeast and salt straight into the kneading chamber and snapped on the top cover. Then I turned on the knead dough function and began to slowly pour in the water and olive oil through the top cover opening.
Once all the ingredients were in and the kneading was taking place, I grabbed the toppings from the fridge (we were having pepperoni and ham) and started to slice them up.
The kneading was going to take about 5 minutes and that was the perfect amount of time for me to get the toppings, cheese and sauce ready. I then checked on the dough which needed about 4 tablespoons of flour added to it. I stopped the kneading, popped the top, and added in some more flour. 2 minutes left on the kneading function so I grabbed the plates for supper.
Once the kneading was completed I removed the dough and placed the ball onto a floured surface, covered and allowed it to rest for 10 minutes. During this time I washed out my PastaFresh (clean up is so easy since I only needed to use half the machine) .
Once the dough had rested for 10 minutes, I cut it in half, since it makes two 12 inch pizzas. You can either roll out the dough or toss it around in the air until you get the shape needed for you pan.
Once the dough was in place on the pan, I added the toppings and tossed the pizzas in the oven. I set the timer for 20 minutes.
After the 20 minutes was up, I slid the pizzas from their trays, and i cooked them directly on the racks for the remaining 5 minutes.
